A new partnership between researchers involved in the Actionable Nuggets Project and the Canadian Medical Association has resulted in important information about spinal cord injury getting into the hands of doctors who need it. Termed "nuggets" of information, the research team, including researchers from Queen's University, Memorial University and the University of New South Wales, have determined what are the need-to-knows for family doctors and developed the nuggets. As described on their website, "Actionable Nuggets are short, focused care guidelines for patients with unique needs that physicians can use immediately to provide better primary health care." A patient version of nuggets will also be eventually created.
